Swissmar Borner V Power Mandoline, V-7000
Top notch kitchen slicer
Light weight but still sturdy. Most V slicers have a problem with the tip of the V being pushed down as you run whatever your slicing down over it. Not this device, it maintains the same cutting depth even when pushing fairly hard.
Being able to stow the extra dicing blades inside a holder which then attaches to the bottom of the device is also a great idea as the blades are inside a sheath and not exposed allowing the VERY sharp blades to encounter wayward fingers while pulling it out of a cupboard.
Even better was that it was on sale for Black Friday making it an even better buy. That good German engineering, worth buying
