Decent shave for three blades
Like most shavers using three blades, these are ok. Three blades are better than one or two and these guys give a decent shave plus there are a few things that have been done really good here.
Looking at the blades themselves you can see that they are completely separated, you can see through the gaps, except at the ends which makes it easy to rinse out stubble and shaving cream. In use they do ok, not as smooth as shavers which use 5 blades but still ok. They do chafe and cause a little razer burn but because the swivel allows for quite a range I find I get decent performance on the chin and otherwise going around corners. I’ve been using these now for 3 weeks and have yet to change out the first head. At this rate the 10 refills will probably last at least a year which makes them a decent buy.
I don’t really care how well the case holds the refills or closes, rather I’m impressed with how well the shaver heads snap onto the handle. Most shavers have an ok fit to the handle as long as you’re just shaving but when it comes time to tap the whole thing into a sink in order to remove some stubborn hairs or just knock the water off, most allow the heads to pop off. Here because the mechanism used to attach the head to handle is very differeent this doesn’t happen, ever! I would probably have to knock it hard enough to break something before the head would fall off.
I mentioned 5 bladed shaver heads, I find that the Shick Hydro 5 blades Schick Hydro 5 Mens Razor Blade Refills, Pack of 8 Razor Blade Refills give a much closer shave with almost no chaffing or razer burn. Yes they are more money for 8 than the 10 you get here and they use a different handle but I easily get 2 ½ months out of one shaver head and a far better shave.
