Cleans great but dries our hair and has chemicals that you’ll want to avoid

I’m not impressed with this shampoo. It’s labelled as a moisturizing product but it does pretty much the opposite for both my wife and I. We have differnt types of hair so it’s not as if this is limited to one persons hair type. When trying out a new shampoo we stick with a conditioner we know so that we can get an accurate assessment. Because of this we can easily narrow the dryness down to the shampoo.

It is a nice creamy lotion that spreads out and works in quickly and does a good job of washing hair, even heavy sweat and construction junk comes out quickly.

The scent here is very light but still obnoxious. It’s a chemical kind of scent, not sure what the maker intended it to smell like but we can’t smell anything but chemicals. If you have a hypersensitivity to chemical odours give this one a pass as the scent lasts for some time even after a good rinse.

As well as the chemical odour, there are items in the ingredients list that you’ll want to avoid. Amongst other things it contains SLS (look it up) which is the same stuff used in soaps used to clean engine blocks and all manner of stuff. Considering this is an expensive product I would expect that R+Co would have gone more to the natural side. Typically hair care products that are made from non-chemical ingredients tend to be quite a bit costlier but worth it if you want to avoid loading chemicals into your system.

We won’t be ordering the in the future.
