PeleusTech® 5 pcs Windproof Stainless Steel Metal Match Lighter Gas Oil Fire Starter Keychain for Camping Outdoor Lighter Mini Shape, Light Weight, Space-saving
Works better than expected
Better than expected but slightly on the small side. I’m also a little concerned about the reservoir, will it leak or not, only time will tell. I say this because when having a good look at the construction it seems the plastic pieces which form the reservoir don’t match well, fit and finish not so great. And how did they get the ZIPPO logo on these things when they come out of Asia???
When using I find that the guide for the striker, around the flint, works well to keep the striker on target and focus the sparks to ensure the wick is lit.
## EDIT Its been a good product, no leaks and no complaints. The O ring around the striker/wick wand has kept its seal as well.
When you need to you can add about 12 – 16 drops of lighter fluid to replenish it. The wick, once its burned down is easy enough to pull out with the metal striker pin and then replaced with a soft cotton sting that’s been spread out.
The flint is fine, as long as you don’t go putting as much pressure on it as you would with a normal flint and striker. The idea here isn’t to produce enough sparks to light tinder 4 inches beneath y our hands, you only want to ignite the fluff at the end of the striker that’s soaked in lighter fluid. The flint will last a long time this way.
