When I received the knife there were two things wrong with it. First of all the blade was no where near sharp but this was an easy fix. The real problem was that when the blade was open the locking mechanism was to long to engage. In other words the lock was not able to slide over and stop the blade from closing, not ideal at all. I had to disassemble the knife and file a couple thousandths of an inch off the locking mechanism, reassemble and now it works as it should have from the factory. It’s an inexpensive knife so I expected some limitations but to not have the lock work? Even the cheapest of knives in a dollar store that are lock blades have locks that work.
Not what I was expecting from a product that carries the Smith and Wesson name. I’d be happy to pay 50% more for something that was made in north America that was quality, getting tired of cheap Chinese knock offs, and that’s what this knife ultimately is.
